It's that time of year again.....College Football! Whether you're a die hard fan, your sweetie ropes you in to watching the games, or your single and headed to a sports bars to meet your possible Mr. Right - it's imperative to dress the part.
I'm lucky because no matter what Florida college team does the best, I can always feel like I'm with the winning team. I attended both University of Florida and Florida State University, plus earlier when I was I was in high school a close girlfriend was at University of Miami so I pretended to go there too. As a matter of fact, I became a little sister at a fraternity so I felt like UM games were my first college sports outings ever. With all my team spirit experiences here's a few tips on how to do it so well that you might even have your own set of fans cheering you on!
First and foremost, don't go overboard! Not every item you have on has to have your teams colors in each piece including lots of patterns and bling. A better way to go as a Georgia fan is to throw on a red top, black shorts & a hip leather necklace. You'll look hot but still scream "I Love The Dawgs" in a more fashionable way.
Second, forget about Mascot Mania - one item with your team mascot on it is more than enough.
A cute vintage looking college team shirt looks great mixed with cool track pants (pictured above) & a collection of bracelets... you're ready to roll.
Sometimes use only one color of your team's for a piece of the main outfit and accessorize in the other color. University of Florida fan - orange shorts, a white tank or tee plus throw in some hip blue jewelry.
Always be comfortable! There's nothing worse than being at a game and sweating like crazy or freezing your butt off. Plan accordingly! If you're a Alabama fan a long sleeve top in crimson looks great paired with some denim for the chillier months. Get your white in buy adding a leather & pearl necklace. Fashion Touchdown and comfy too!
When in doubt, a cool baseball hat with your team on it is always the easiest way to go.
Most important tip of all though is have fun with it! Enjoy and Go Team Fashionistas Go! xoxo - Sabrina Davis - your Style Ranger Range Boutique - Atlanta
